Milbourne Sound has worked at Walnut Creek Art & Wine for the past three years, providing complete live sound production for both stages during the last two.

Based in Walnut Creek, we supplied the PA systems, monitors, microphones, stands, cabling and crew, handling setup through strike.

Two stages, complete audio production

A festival schedule brings different bands, stage layouts and monitoring needs throughout the day. Our responsibility covered the equipment and people needed to support performances on both stages, from preparing the systems to managing band changeovers.

Working through the heat

Heat is one of the biggest challenges at this event. June marks the beginning of Walnut Creek’s hotter months, and conditions can make a full production day demanding.

In 2025, temperatures reached 105°F. In 2026, temperatures were in the upper 80s to low 90s. Alongside the audio requirements, those conditions made the physical work of setup, changeovers and strike a significant part of the job.

Thirty-minute band changeovers

We successfully completed band changeovers within 30 minutes, including a changeover involving a 12-member band. Moving between acts of that size means coordinating microphones, stands, cabling and monitors so the next group can get ready to perform.

That combination of complete production and coordinated crew work is what Milbourne Sound brings to festival stages.
