I discovered an interesting technique to checking the balance on a mix. By using Soundcloud.com I was able to quickly push a mix from Reaper into it. Then quickly check the mix on my phone, and computer. The different, and much lower quality speakers, highlighted that I was putting the vocals way too loud. Which means I need to re-calibrate my ears when on my studio speakers.
